Two Palestinians were shot and killed, while at least 30 others were injured after Israeli forces opened fire at them in protests near the Erez (Beit Hanoun) crossing between the northern besieged Gaza Strip and Israel, on Tuesday.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed that two Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces, who shot them with live ammunition.

The ministry identified the two Palestinians as Ahmad Mahmoud Muhsen Amer, 20, and Muhammad Ahmad Abu Naji, 34.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that both Amer and Naji were shot in the head and chest by Israeli forces.

A Ma’an reporter said that during the protest 30 Palestinians were shot and injured by Israeli forces, who were using live ammunition, in an attempt to suppress protesters.
Meanwhile, several other Palestinians suffered from tear-gas inhalation due to tear-gas bombs thrown by Israeli forces toward protesters.

PRCS immediately transferred injured Palestinians to the Indonesian Hospital in southern Gaza for necessary medical treatment.
Thousands of Palestinian protesters arrived near the Erez crossing on Tuesday upon call by the High National Committee to Break the nearly 12-year-long siege imposed by Israel on Gaza.

The protesters were seen waving Palestinian flags and chanting slogans, condemning the ongoing Israeli violations against the residents of Gaza.
