Israeli airstrikes targeted Gaza’s International Airport, which was also repeatedly targeted in recent years. Eyewitnesses report that the strikes also reached the eastern parts of the city of Rafah. No information on causalities is yet to be reported.

Witnesses have seen pillars of smokes emanating from the site.
The airport has not been used in many years and was destroyed in previous Israeli wars.

More airstrikes targeting agricultural lands, a government site and the surrounding area of Gaza’s International Airport were reported. Until the writing of this report, no injuries were reported.
The Military wing of Hamas, Al-Qassam Brigades, issued a statement which warned against the consequences of an Israeli escalation in Gaza, citing two Israeli limited incursions inside the Strip, which, Al-Qassam said, led to the current escalation.
