A Palestinian MP in the occupied West Bank said on Tuesday that the flame of the Palestinian intifada has been ignited and neither the Palestinian Authority nor Israel and its settlers can stop it. “The uprising will never stop before achieving its goals,” Hassan Yousef told Al-Resalah.
The Hamas MP said that this intifada was ignited as a result of the oppression of Israel’s occupation and the “violations” of its settlers against Islamic and Christian holy sites. “They desecrate them on a daily basis and in front of the whole world,” he argued.
Yousef criticised the security cooperation between the PA and the Israeli occupation security forces. “Continuous security cooperation and PA measures such as passing information about Palestinian resistance or arresting fighters is more dangerous than face to face fighting with the Israelis,” he insisted.
