Dozens of Palestinians were killed and wounded when an Israeli fighter jet struck a crowd in the Palestinian Tulkarm refugee camp in the northern West Bank.

Videos of the chaotic scene showed bodies of Palestinians hanging from balconies and treetops following the massive explosion.

The Israeli Army Radio claimed that the airstrike targeted armed men in Tulkarm, but the scene at Tulkarm hospitals and clinics tell another story.

Mutilated bodies and unidentified body parts were brought into hospitals in whatever form of transport the desperate refugees could find.

Initially, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said that 14 people were killed before the number jumped to 20, according to Al-Jazeera.

Local journalists at the scene said that many unidentified bodies are still uncounted for.

This is considered the first time since the Second Intifada (2000-2005) that Israeli fighter jets strike the area.

The official Palestinian news agency WAFA said that the strike targeted a very crowded area where many people were gathering inside a local cafe.

At least one missile hit the Hammam neighborhood in Tulkarm, according to WAFA.

UPDATE:

The national and Islamic forces in the occupied West Bank announced a comprehensive strike today, Friday, in various governorates, to mourn those killed by the Israeli occupation army in Tulkarm refugee camp.

The Israeli strike resulted in the death of 18 Palestinians in the first shelling of its kind launched by an Israeli fighter jet in the West Bank since the second intifada in 2000.

In a statement on Thursday evening, the forces called for activities in all seam areas and military checkpoints, and adherence to unity and struggle to end the occupation.

Hamas considered the Israeli aerial bombardment of the Tulkarm camp a dangerous escalation in the occupation’s continuous aggression on the West Bank.

It said that the attack was more evidence of Israeli bankruptcy in light of its failure on the ground to break the resolve of the Palestinian people and their escalating resistance.

  2. What pains me from these horrible scenes of a daily onslaught emanating from these murderous thugs from Israel is the is the lack of unity cohesion and support from other Arabic nations in support of their brothers and sisters in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon! Also Russia and China must enter this Arena and wield their influence in support of the Palestinian people, it’s imperative that they do so to counter the American influence in this Genocide.
My heart bleeds for the Palestinian people.

  3. There will be a reckoning for this egregious hecatomb. Netanyahu and his band of bloodthirsty cockroach Likudnic psychotics will hang for these atrocities.

  4. The level of the zionists’ savagery is truly horrific… usa and west’s support of it is not surprising but is infinitely disgusting and enraging… What is inspiring is that with every bomb the idf drops, the Resistance of the Palestinians only increases…NO matter what the zionist jews do, they CANNOT break the Palestinians nor can they break the Palestinians’ Will To Be Free of israeli oppression. This time there is NO going back! THIS time THE PALESTINIAN STATE IS CERTAIN!!
