Gift of the Givers sets up the first ever “open market” for people to do their Ramadan “shopping” in Gaza. Vouchers were given to 600 families in Rafah and Khan Younis and they could choose whatever food items they required in a very dignified manner.
This was the first ever event of its kind creating much excitement in Gaza with all the local media covering the event.
The Gift of the Givers is the largest disaster response NGO of African origin on the African continent, under the guidance of Dr. Imtiaz Sooliman.

Gift of the Givers has delivered life-saving aid in the form of Search and Rescue teams, medical personnel, medical equipment, medical supplies, medicines, vaccines, anti-malarial medication, high energy and protein supplements, food and water to millions of people in 41 countries
Commencing as a disaster response agency the organisation now has 21 categories of projects which include bursaries, agricultural self-sustainability, water provision, counselling and life skills services, among other categories.
The motto of the Gift of the Givers is: “Best Among People are those who Benefit Mankind” and accordingly “we serve all people irrespective of race, religion, culture, color, political affiliation or geographical location, unconditionally.”
