A Palestinian allegedly carrying out a car-ramming attack was killed by Israeli forces near the village of Beit Ummar in the southern occupied West Bank district of Hebron (Al-Khalil) early on Sunday evening.
Israeli police spokeswoman Luba al-Samri claimed in a statement that the Palestinian driver was shot and killed after carrying out a car-ramming attack in the vicinity of the illegal settlement bloc of Gush Etzion near Beit Ummar.
She said that the Palestinian vehicle “swiftly” approached a group of Israeli police forces who were carrying out a “security mission” in the area, lightly injuring three border police officers before other officers on the scene shot at the Palestinian driver, killing him.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health identified the killed Palestinian as Khalid Ahmad Elayyan Ikhlayyil, 23, from Beit Ummar.
According to Ma’an documentation, Ikhlayyil was the latest of 236 Palestinians killed by Israelis since the beginning of a wave of unrest across the occupied Palestinian territory in October 2015.
Some 25 Palestinians have been killed during this time period while carrying out or allegedly carrying out vehicular attacks.

The last Palestinian to have been killed before Sunday was a 15-year-old resident of Beit Ummar, Khalid Bahr Ahmad Bahr, who was shot by Israeli forces on Oct. 20 during clashes in the area.
