Israeli occupation forces broke into Izzariyeh Elementary School for Girls, east of Jerusalem, on Thursday morning, causing heavy damage to the property, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.

Israeli soldiers reportedly blew up doors, searched the classrooms, and seized CCTV cameras, destroying some and causing heavy damage to property.
The Palestinian Ministry of Education condemned the army vandalism of the school property, considering it a blatant violation of human rights and the right of children to a safe and secure education.
The ministry said that this incident shows the difficult conditions experienced by students and teachers in occupied Jerusalem and its suburbs as a result of the war waged by the occupation forces against educational institutions.
