Two Palestinians were killed, and others wounded on Thursday night, after an Israeli drone targeted a car in the Jenin refugee camp, in the occupied West Bank, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.

Dr. Wisam Bakr, the director of the Jenin Governmental Hospital, told the official Palestinian news agency WAFA that two Palestinians arrived at the hospital in critical condition, due to the bombing of a vehicle by the Israeli occupation forces.

According to WAFA, the victims were identified as 17-year-old Saeed Jaradat and Yasser Mustafa Hanoun.

In a statement, the Jenin Brigade of Saraya Al-Quds, the armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, confirmed that Hanoun, one of its “field commanders”, was killed in the attack. The statement also said that Hanoun was “previously jailed by Israel for his involvement in Islamic Jihad activities.”

Since October 7, the Israeli army has launched a series of incursions and military operations in the Jenin camp, during which many Palestinians have been killed and scores arrested.

In parallel with the war in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army escalated its incursions into cities, towns and refugee camps in the West Bank.
