Angry about its refusal to call Hamas a ‘terrorist organization,’ Israel summoned Russia’s ambassador to Tel Aviv.
Russian Ambassador to Israel Anatoly Viktotov was summoned to the Israeli foreign ministry on Sunday following the visit by a Hamas delegation to Moscow.

In a statement, the Israeli foreign ministry said that,
“Deputy Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs Simona Halperin explained to the ambassador that Israel is taking seriously the lack of Moscow’s clear and unequivocal condemnation of the terrorist organization Hamas, as well as Russia’s actions in international organizations.”
Hamas officials Bassem Naim and Mousa Abu Marzouk met with Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov on Thursday, October 26.
In addition to the developments in the region, and the Israeli war on Gaza, the delegation discussed the release of eight Russians held in Gaza since October 7.
