The Palestinian Borders and Crossing Body has confirmed that the Israeli occupation authorities will shut Karim Abu Salem, the only commercial crossing connecting Gaza with Israel, for 15 days next month during the Jewish holidays.
Imports and exports will be allowed to continue, as well as only enough fuel to run Gaza’s power plant.
Announcement today that yesterday's closure of Kerem Shalom crossing, which meant fuel couldn't enter, has caused Gaza Power Plant shut down https://t.co/XOBlArdVHX

Israel uses the control over Gaza’s crossing to collectively punish Palestinians, citing ‘security reasons’.
Gisha, the Israeli Legal Group for the Freedom of Movement, has reported an increase in the number of Palestinians denied entry into Israel since the beginning of the year compared to last year.
Most Palestinians who are allowed to travel to Israel are either patients, students or business people.
