Approximately 300,000 school books have been allowed to enter the Gaza Strip from the occupied West Bank yesterday through the Erez border crossing.
Palestinian schools opened for the new academic year last week, with a number of text books still held back from entering Gaza.
Israeli authorities have since allowed the books into the region, coordination with the Ministry of Education and the United Nations, the head of the media office of Gaza’s Ministry of Education Mutasim Al-Minawi told Ma’an.

Among the textbooks delivered were those for mathematics for the second, third and fourth grade, science for the third and fourth grades and writing books for the first and second grades.
The entry of the books has been stalled on more than one occasion, the director’s assistant Azzam Abu Bakir said.
