The number of the Palestinian journalists arrested by the Israeli occupation reached 24 after two media personnel were detained at dawn yesterday, Quds Press reported.
According to the Palestinian Prisoners Club (PPC), brothers Ibrahim and Amer Al-Ja’bari are senior manager at the Transmedia Company which Israel shut down after confiscating its computers and broadcasting equipment.
The PPC said six of the 24 journalists have been sentenced to long jail terms, including Mahmoud Musa, who was handed a life term. He has been in jail since 1993.

Meanwhile, the PPC said, the journalist Bassam Al-Sayeh has been in prison since October 2015 despite suffering bone and blood cancer, osteoporosis and heart rate depression.
In addition, there are three journalists under administrative detention, including Nidal Abu-Akar, who spent 14 years inside Israeli jails before being placed under administrative detention.
Rights groups estimate that 6,500 Palestinians are being held in Israeli jails, including 56 women and girls, 350 boys, 13 MPs and 500 under administrative detention.
