The first conference for education ministers organized by the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (IESCO) has hailed UNESCO’s statement on Palestine, Quds Net has reported.
The gathering in Tunis stressed that the organization would never accept any bargaining over Palestine, Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The conference statement called for support for UNESCO’s position in the face of increasing pressure from Israel and its allies.

It added the need to pay more attention to the educational, cultural and religious institutions in Palestine and Jerusalem through increasing the support from IESCO members.
This, it was argued, will enable the Palestinians to remain steadfast in the face of Israeli policies which aim to weaken them and undermine their status.
IESCO also called on UNESCO and the Islamic Development Bank to offer tangible support to Palestinians by carrying out comprehensive programs to improve the infrastructure of their institutions.
