The claim is included in his upcoming memoir Unleashed, which will be released on October 10.
Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has claimed that a listening device was found in his personal bathroom at the Foreign Office after it had been used by the Israeli Premier Benjamin Netanyahu.
The claim is included in his upcoming memoir Unleashed, which will be released on October 10, the Daily Telegraph newspaper reported.
Johnson alleged that “his security team found bugging devices in the toilets” after Netanyahu had used the facilities during a visit in 2017, the paper said.

He said Netanyahu, who he calls Bibi, excused himself to use the bathroom.
“Thither Bibi repaired for a while, and it may or may not be a coincidence but I am told that later, when they were doing a regular sweep for bugs, they found a listening device in the thunderbox.”
The paper said it was not clear whether Tel Aviv “was questioned or rebuked over the incident.”
White House Bugged
At around the same time, Israel was accused of planting listening devices in the White House, the paper added.
Citing US officials, the paper said that “Washington concluded that Israel was likely behind the placement of cellphone surveillance devices that were found near the White House and other sensitive locations around the capital.”

Johnson also reportedly described how he felt like “Willy Wonka” as he showed Netanyahu around the Foreign Office.
“He writes how he joked about having the very walnut desk where the Balfour Declaration was written by Arthur James Balfour, where he set out ‘the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people’,” the paper said.
Netanyahu, in response, supposedly uttered “wow” and Johnson said, appeared “genuinely awestruck”.
Johnson served as foreign secretary from 2016 to 2018 before becoming prime minister in 2019, serving a tumultuous term before he resigned in 2022 in the face of scandals.
