In an earlier announcement, Abu Obeida had said that Hamas has 200 to 250 Israelis in its custody.
Abu Obeida, the spokesperson of Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas, said in a statement that about 50 of the prisoners and hostages currently held in Gaza have been killed by Israeli airstrikes targeting the besieged Strip since October 7.

Abu Obeida’s brief statement was communicated via the Al-Qassam Telegram Channel. This is what the statement said:
“Al-Qassam Brigades estimates that the number of Zionist prisoners killed in the Gaza Strip as a result of Zionist bombing and massacres reached approximately 50 people.”
The number of those killed in the Israeli strikes, according to Al-Qassam, has jumped from 22 in mid-October to 50, in a matter of a few days.

In an earlier announcement, Abu Obeida had said that Hamas has 200 to 250 Israelis in its custody.
It also said that all internationals currently with Hamas will be treated like guests and will be released unconditionally when the security situation allows for their release.
However, Hamas wants to exchange the captured Israelis, many of whom are soldiers, for thousands of Palestinian prisoners currently held in Israel.
