In northern Gaza, the Israeli military faces heavy losses as Palestinian Resistance factions continue their fierce resistance.
The military spokesperson for Hamas’ Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida, said in a statement on Monday that despite over 100 days of widespread destruction and genocide by the Israeli military in northern Gaza, Resistance fighters continue to impose significant losses among Israeli forces.
He announced that more than 10 soldiers were killed and dozens injured over the past 72 hours.
Abu Obeida also said that Israeli losses are far greater than publicly acknowledged and predicted that the Israeli military would ultimately withdraw from northern Gaza “in disgrace” without overcoming the Resistance.
He criticized the Israeli military’s actions, stating that their primary outcomes have been “destruction, devastation, and massacres of innocent civilians.”

Meanwhile, Palestinian Resistance groups continue to engage in fierce battles against Israeli forces in northern and central Gaza on the 465th day of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood. Clashes and targeted operations have been reported in various combat zones.
Israeli politician and former senior military officer Yair Golan criticized the government’s handling of the war on Gaza, arguing it should have ended much earlier.
In a post on X, he accused the government of prolonging the conflict due to its focus on power retention and the issue of Gaza settlements.
In a television interview, Golan described the continued loss of Israeli soldiers in Gaza as “senseless” and called for an immediate end to the conflict to prevent further bloodshed.
Israeli newspaper Haaretz also expressed concern in its editorial, urging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to prioritize negotiations for the release of Israeli detainees in Gaza. The paper highlighted the need to halt the war to prevent further devastation and rising casualties among Israeli forces. Haaretz warned that failure to end the war would expose both soldiers and captives to even greater dangers.
Additionally, Israeli media reported the deaths of 46 soldiers and officers during ongoing operations in northern Gaza, particularly in Jabaliya, Beit Hanoun, and Beit Lahia.

The campaign, which has been underway for three months, has reportedly come at a steep cost, with criticism directed at the military’s approach of entering and exiting Gaza without achieving full control. This tactic, according to media outlets, has allowed Hamas to set deadly traps for Israeli forces.
Ongoing Genocide
The ongoing Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7, 2023, has led to a humanitarian crisis of unprecedented scale. As the death toll among besieged and starved Palestinian civilians continues to rise daily, Israel is currently facing charges of genocide against Palestinians before the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, at least 46,584 Palestinians have been killed, and 109,731 wounded in Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza starting on October 7, 2023.
The toll is expected to rise further, with at least 11,000 people still unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes across Gaza.

The war, which Palestinians call “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood,” began after a military operation carried out by Hamas on Israeli territory. Israel reports that 1,139 of its soldiers and civilians were killed during the initial attack on October 7. However, Israeli media have raised concerns that a significant number of Israeli casualties were caused by ‘friendly fire’ during the assault.
Human rights organizations, both Palestinian and international, have reported that the overwhelming majority of the casualties in Gaza are women and children. The ongoing violence has also exacerbated an acute famine, with thousands of children among the dead, highlighting the severity of the humanitarian disaster.
The war has displaced nearly two million people from their homes across Gaza, with the majority of the displaced forced into the already overcrowded southern region of the Strip. The population in Gaza remains trapped in the ongoing conflict, with little access to basic necessities such as food, water, and medical care.
