22 of the Israeli prisoners held by Palestinian Resistance in Gaza were killed in the Israeli bombing of the Strip. These and other details were offered by Al-Qassam Brigades in its latest statement.
Abu Obeida, the spokesman for Al-Qassam Brigades, the military arm of the Hamas movement, revealed in a televised statement on Monday evening specific information about the Israeli prisoners and other internationals held by the Palestinian Resistance in Gaza.
Abu Obeida said that it is impossible to give a precise number of all Israeli prisoners captured by Hamas fighters, and other groups, which he did not name in his statement.

The difficulty in giving precise information is mostly linked to the constant Israeli attacks on Gaza.
Abu Obeida said the following:

The Al-Qassam Brigades holds an estimated 200 Israeli prisoners.

Other Resistance movements and ‘currents’ hold an estimated 50 others.

All prisoners are treated humanely, according to Islamic rules: “They eat what we eat. They drink what we drink. And they live like the rest of us.”

We reject Zionist propaganda that we are mistreating the prisoners, whether those currently with us or during the Al-Aqsa Flood operation.

22 of those prisoners have been killed in Israeli bombardment on the Gaza Strip.

Due to the impossibility of verifying the identities of those captured during the time of the battle on October 7, a number of internationals were brought into Gaza.

Upon verification of their identities, however, it turned out that they belong to other nationalities. Therefore, these internationals are not prisoners but are ‘guests’ in Gaza to be released immediately whenever it is safe for them to do so.
Finally, Abu Obeida has warned all countries that allow their citizens to fight in the Israeli army, saying that anyone who fights in the Israeli army, regardless of his dual nationality, will be a target for the Palestinian Resistance.
