A massive rally in the Moroccan capital Rabat took to the streets on Sunday demonstrating against Israeli massacres in Gaza and calling on the government to cut ties with Israel.
Morrocco was one of a few Arab governments that normalized ties with Israel in recent years, but the people of Morocco continue to reject that decision through their constant solidarity marches in support of the Palestinians.
The Rabat march was called by the ‘Moroccan Front for Support of Palestine and Against Normalization’ and the ‘National Action Group for Palestine’.
The Anadolu news Agency reported that the participants in the march raised Palestinian and Moroccan flags and pictures of Al-Aqsa Mosque, shouting slogans in support of Gaza and the steadfastness of the Palestinian people.

The march was held under the slogan “The Moroccan people support the Al-Aqsa flood and (stand) against normalization”. It started at the Bab al-Ahad Square in the center of the capital towards the parliament building.
The demonstrators waved Palestinian flags, and in return burned the Israeli flag to denounce the war Tel Aviv is waging on the Gaza Strip.
“The people want the liberation of Palestine”, and “Palestine resists and regimes bargain,” they chanted.
For the ninth day, the Israeli army continues to target the Gaza Strip with intensive air raids that destroyed entire neighborhoods, causing thousands of deaths and injuries among Palestinian civilians, mostly women and children.
