Issa Qaraqie, the head of the Palestinian Detainees and Ex-detainees Affairs said 60% of 750 Palestinian administrative detainees in Israeli jails had their administrative detention orders renewed at least once.
He noted today in press remarks that facing administrative detention requires a collective struggle by the detainees in addition to external support for them.
He added, “Four Palestinian detainees are still on hunger strike to protest their administrative detention. They are Anas Shadid, Mohammed Abufarra, Hassan Rabayia and Majd Abushamleh.”

According to Qaraqie Shadid and Abufarra were transferred from Ofer prison to Mijin prison in the Ramla district and that their health has deteriorating as they only sip water.
Detainees Rabayia and Abushamleh, Qaraqie noted, will be placed under solitary confinement after they asked for guarantees from the Israeli director of Negev prison not to renew their administrative detention orders.
