Diaspora Palestinians Organize Conference in Bethlehem

Palestinians from the city of Bethlehem concluded a three-day conference in the city with a participation of 85 delegates of Palestinians living in the diaspora of Latin and North America.

The conference ended with a field trip to Alabyat Industrial Area to the east of Bethlehem where they were introduced to the work of the area. A memorial statue was initiated in the area which read, “I love Bethlehem”.

The conference included delivering talks on economy in Palestine and the role of diasporic Palestinians in developing their home country.

The Palestinian Trade Center and Bank of Palestine both delivered talks on developing the Palestinian economy.

The Holy Land Society for Tourism also delivered a talk on tourism in Palestine and connecting with Palestinians from the diaspora.

The conference is the first of its kind to take place in Bethlehem.
