132 Palestinian worshipers, aged above 60, were given permits today by Israel to pray at Al-Aqsa Mosque on the second Day of Eid, the Muslim holy day of sacrifice.
The Palestinian Civic Affairs Department coordinated the travel permits with the Israeli administration. However, no worshipers working for the UN were allowed to travel this time. The UN coordinates the travel of its own staff to Al-Aqsa.
The worshipers will return to Gaza today after the afternoon prayer.

The Israeli occupation forces only allow worshipers aged 50 to pray at Al-Aqsa. This policy was implemented two months after the 2014 offensive, after years of a ban on traveling to the site.
