Israel has more than doubled its sale of services and products to the United Nations (UN) and its branches over the past two years, according to Israel’s Channel 2.
The channel said that a recent report released by the UN shows it acquired goods and services from Israel totalling $91.8 million in 2015.
This is much higher than the 2014 total of $69.8 million and more than double the 2013 level of $45 million.

The new purchases place Israel 40th out of the 193 member-states when it comes to procurement from the UN.
UN annual purchases of products and services amount to an estimated $15 billion worldwide.
The UN mainly purchased medical equipment, fuel, IT and communications equipment, and electronics from Israel.
“It makes us proud when blue and white products are purchased and I call on Israeli companies to increase their dealings with the UN,” the Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon said.
He added, “We will continue to promote the Israeli economy and assist and encourage our companies to work with the UN procurement offices.”
The new data comes amid international calls to boycott Israeli products over Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian land.
