Israeli occupation forces have prevented 7-year-old, R’ouaa Alhroob, from visiting her imprisoned father for “security reasons.”
The family told Safa News Agency that the Israeli occupation prevented her from visiting her father, forcing her to return home through Mitaar Crossing point in the West Bank.
The family was surprised by the Israeli decision and saw it as a means of punishing her father by preventing his only child from visiting him.

Alhroob who is from the village of Dirsamit near Hebron was sentenced to life imprisonment by Israel.
Israel uses family visits as a form of punishment against Palestinian prisoners. In Gaza alone, family visits were denied for over five years following the capture of Israeli soldier, Gilad Shalit in 2006. The ban was lifted after Shalit was released in exchange for 1,027 Palestinian prisoners.
