Khalid Meshaal, the head of the political bureau of Hamas, expects that the Gaza siege will be completely lifted soon, highlighting “the continuing Qatari and Turkish efforts to lift Gaza’s siege”.
Meshaal’s remarks came during a gathering organized by the Islamic Resistance Movement in Al-Nusierat refugee camp in Gaza to celebrate Eid. He stated, “Gaza is suffering from the oppression of enemies and friends, yet it has proven its originality and managed to achieve victories during various wars waged on it by Israel”.

“The good news of lifting the siege is appearing every day. Our Qatari and Turkish brothers have crossed a long path to end the siege and the (Muslim) nation will not forget Gaza even while busy curing its own wounds.”
Meshaal noted that his movement would not allow Israel to take it to a new war, because its project is of liberation, not wars. He said that Gaza is providing a shining example of patience, steadfastness and national unity.
