Spokesman of Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ military wing, Abu-Obaida said on Friday that his militants would not provide information about the Israeli soldiers missing in Gaza “without a price,” Quds Press reported.

In a press release broadcast on Al-Aqsa TV, Abu-Obaida also said that the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was “lying to his people” when he announced that his representatives were carrying out “secret” talks about the soldiers.

During the press release, Abu-Obaida stood in front of a poster of four Israeli soldiers; sending an implied message that the Palestinian resistance is holding four of them.

The Israeli authorities had, previously, announced that two soldiers went missing during the Israeli offensive on Gaza in 2014. Since then Al-Qassam Brigades have provided no information as to whether they are alive or dead.

As for the other two soldiers, Israel claims they entered the Gaza Strip mistakenly and it did not know anything more about them. Hamas has to refused to give information about them.

A couple of days ago, Netanyahu announced that there was a breakthrough regarding the issue of the missing soldiers in Gaza, without giving much details.

He claimed that this development should be kept secret, but insisted that he was closely following up the talks concerning them.
