In response to the Israeli violence against Al-Aqsa Mosque, Jordanian Member of Parliament Hind Al-Fayiz yesterday urged her government to call off the peace agreement signed with Israel and to dismiss its ambassador from Amman, Palestinian newspaper Al-Resalah report.
Al-Fayiz told Al-Resalah that Jordan had to take a “decisive” step and not issue statements. “It is the right time to end the Wadi Araba Deal,” she said. “Only the Jordanian side committed to the deal and Israel did not commit. We acquired only shame from this deal.”
She said that the Israeli aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque is the last straw in the deal, which stipulates that this holy site is under Jordanian guardianship, noting that the strength of the Israeli occupation is a result of the weakness of the Arabic position.
She added that the “silence” of the Arab League also encourages Israel to continue its aggression against the holy sites.
Answering a question whether Arabic sides are involved in the Judaisation of Jerusalem, she said: “This is not strange because we have been outflanked by collaborators who were bought by Israel and imperialists.”
