The ongoing Israeli bombardment of Gaza has claimed the lives of over 46,000 Palestinians, including many women and children, as the humanitarian situation spirals out of control.
The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip reported on Sunday that two separate massacres committed by Israeli forces over the past 24 hours resulted in the deaths of 28 Palestinians, with 89 others injured.
The Civil Defense in Gaza further revealed that in the past five days, nearly 70 children have been killed due to relentless Israeli bombing across the strip.
The violence has intensified in recent hours, with at least six Palestinians killed and several others wounded in Israeli artillery and airstrikes targeting various locations across Gaza since Sunday morning. Since the beginning of the weekend, 23 more Palestinians have been killed, according to local sources.
Al-Jazeera reported the recovery of two bodies following an Israeli airstrike on the Intelligence Towers area, located northwest of Gaza City.
Several Palestinians were also injured during the attack, and they were transferred to the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital for treatment.

A separate Israeli airstrike, which targeted a group of Palestinians gathering firewood in the northwest of Gaza City, killed two and wounded another.
In Jabaliya Al-Balad, in northern Gaza, Israeli airstrikes killed one Palestinian and injured several others.
Among the victims was ambulance officer Hassan al-Kahlout, who succumbed to his injuries from an earlier Israeli bombardment in northern Gaza.
In another part of the city, continued Israeli bombings and raids were reported, particularly in Beit Hanoun, located in northern Gaza, where the civilian population continues to bear the brunt of the aggression.
Al-Jazeera also reported heavy artillery shelling targeting the Al-Awda Hospital area in the Tal Al-Zaatar region, a site of intense bombardment in recent days.
Additional casualties were reported in the central Gaza Strip’s Al-Bureij camp, where Israeli artillery shelling killed two Palestinians and wounded several others this morning.
In the western Nuseirat and Az-Zawaida areas, Israeli gunboats launched a series of shells targeting the coastal regions, while military vehicles opened fire on the northwest of Nuseirat camp.

Drones were also reported to have fired on the southwestern parts of the camp, adding to the ongoing assault.
Elsewhere, in Rafah city in southern Gaza, Israeli bombardments targeted the Al-Firdaws area in the Al-Mawasi region, causing more fatalities. The body of one Palestinian was recovered following a targeted airstrike in the Miraj area near Rafah.
Over the weekend, an Israeli airstrike on the Zainab Al-Wazir School in JabaliYa Al-Balad, which was sheltering displaced families, resulted in at least eight dead and 30 injured individuals, including 19 children.
This was the second strike on the school, which had previously been bombed just days earlier. The Baptist Hospital, the only functioning medical facility in Jabaliya, reported receiving dozens of martyrs and wounded, many of them women and children, following the attack.

Ongoing Genocide
The ongoing Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7, 2023, has led to a humanitarian crisis of unprecedented scale. As the death toll among besieged and starved Palestinian civilians continues to rise daily, Israel is currently facing charges of genocide against Palestinians before the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, at least 46,565 Palestinians have been killed, and 109,660 wounded in Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza starting on October 7, 2023.
The toll is expected to rise further, with at least 11,000 people still unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes across Gaza.

The war, which Palestinians call “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood,” began after a military operation carried out by Hamas on Israeli territory. Israel reports that 1,139 of its soldiers and civilians were killed during the initial attack on October 7. However, Israeli media have raised concerns that a significant number of Israeli casualties were caused by ‘friendly fire’ during the assault.
Human rights organizations, both Palestinian and international, have reported that the overwhelming majority of the casualties in Gaza are women and children. The ongoing violence has also exacerbated an acute famine, with thousands of children among the dead, highlighting the severity of the humanitarian disaster.
The war has displaced nearly two million people from their homes across Gaza, with the majority of the displaced forced into the already overcrowded southern region of the Strip. The population in Gaza remains trapped in the ongoing conflict, with little access to basic necessities such as food, water, and medical care.
