Yemen’s Mohammed Ali al-Houthi affirms unwavering support for Gaza and warns against Israeli and Western aggression.
Yemen’s operations against Israel will persist until its military assault on the Gaza Strip ends, a member of Sanaa’s Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, has said.
“The American and British attacks will not affect our support operations for the people of Gaza, and the momentum and development will continue,” al-Houthi said in an exclusive interview with the Beirut-based Al Mayadeen channel published on Saturday.
The Yemeni Armed Forces, affiliated with the Ansarallah group, has carried several attacks on Israeli-linked ships in the Red Sea as well as specific targets in Israel since Tel Aviv began its military assault on the Gaza Strip in October 2023.
‘Go and Advise America’
In response, the US and British armies, as well as Israel, have carried out multiple airstrikes on parts of Yemen, claiming their operations aim to weaken Ansarallah’s capabilities.
Dismissing any requests to halt Yemen’s operations, al-Houthi said, “To those advising us to stop our support operations, we say: Go and advise America and Britain to stop supporting the entity, and the battle will end.”

He pointed out that the decrease in naval operations against ships with Israel stems solely from shipping vessels avoiding the Red Sea route.
Last July, the Israeli port officially declared bankruptcy due to a significant decline in commercial activities and revenues, a senior official confirmed at the time.
Trump ‘Exchels in Rhetoric’
Addressing threats made by US President-elect Donald Trump, al-Houthi said he “excels in rhetoric, and we have tested him. We know he cannot do anything.”

Al-Houthi vowed that Yemen emerges stronger after every battle and continues gaining capabilities, developments, and experience, reported Al Mayadeen.
For example, Yemen’s expertise in hypersonic missile development has bolstered its operations in support of Gaza, the report added.
Saudi Arabia
Criticizing Saudi Arabia, al-Houthi urged Saudi Arabia to restrain its allies, and cited Saudi-American interests in the region. He warned that these interests could be targeted if harm were to be inflicted on the Ansrallah movement, the report continued.
He denied any ongoing negotiations with Saudi Arabia, stating that Yemen remains focused on countering the Israeli threat.

“There are no negotiations with Saudi Arabia. We are preoccupied with confronting Israeli aggression, which threatens us, Saudi Arabia, and the rest of the Arab world,” he stated.
According to the report, al-Houthi revealed that Saudi Arabia had informed Yemen of US pressure to halt dialogue and that there would be no peace roadmap without halting operations in the Red Sea.
‘Miscalculation’
The Yemeni official said Yemen’s support remains unwavering while limiting direct confrontation with the Israeli occupation in order to avoid other potential conflicts.
“If they (Saudi Arabia) choose to engage in a new battle, their losses will be greater than before,” he warned.
Ansarallah ‘Technologically Advanced’, Not to be ‘Underrated’ – Israeli Official
Al-Houthi stressed that any war against Yemen constitutes a battle in support of Israel and the US.
On Trump’s return as US president, al-Houthi said that Saudi Arabia had indicated they might join a new alliance with the incoming US administration.
“This is another miscalculation. When Trump was in power, he did not bring them victory, and he will not do so now,” Al-Houthi reportedly said.
Israeli Territorial Annexation
Al-Houthi also warned of Israeli plans to redraw regional borders through territorial annexation, particularly in Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan, saying their expansionist plots would also spread to Egypt and Saudi Arabia, according to the report.
According to him, Israel hopes to secure Trump’s support in this matter as he ascends to power.
Therefore, he urged Arab nations, particularly Jordan—which recently condemned the publication of the annexation map—to take decisive action, the report said.

Al-Houthi emphasized that condemnation is not enough, calling for the reduction of oil exports, severing diplomatic relations with the Israeli occupation and its supporters, and the preparation of Arab armies for confrontation.
The Yemeni official emphasized Yemen’s readiness to support any Arab state under Israeli attack.
“If Jordan faces Israeli aggression, we will overlook their past positions against our people and support them because our true enemy is Israel,” he said, affirming Sanaa’s willingness to aid any Arab nation, “even Saudi Arabia.”
Axis of Resistance
Regarding the future of the Axis of Resistance, al-Houthi affirmed that it remains steadfast and principled, and will persist until the Israeli occupation is defeated and removed, the report said.
He said the assassinated Hezbollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah, left behind recommendations and directives in his speeches that are enough to ensure the continuation of the organization.

Al-Houthi said communication with Hezbollah is ongoing, reiterating Sayyed Nasrallah’s declaration “We are not defeated.”
On ties with the Palestinian Resistance, al-Houthi said Yemen’s relationship with the movements is a “genuine brotherly bond” and stressed utmost support and assistance for them.
Syria
Commenting on recent developments in Syria, the Yemeni official clarified that Yemen had no prior relationship with the Syrian government.
“What happened in Syria was a deception during negotiations, leading to the surrender of positions,” al-Houthi reportedly said.

Addressing misconceptions, he stated, “Our battle is not linked to our brothers in Syria, and what happened there has no impact on the Yemeni people. To those who read it incorrectly, we say ‘Yemen is different.”
Al-Houthi also said the country’s security agencies arrested numerous espionage cells, some of which had direct links to Israel.
While the details have not been publicly disclosed, thorough investigations are still underway, the Yemeni official stated, adding that the international spy networks are part of broader schemes targeting Yemen’s sovereignty.
