64 Female Palestinian Prisoners Held in Israeli jails

The number of female Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails had risen to 64, including 14 minor, Quds Press reported the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club (PPC) saying yesterday.

In a statement, the PPC said that the Israeli occupation forces had arrested eight Palestinian females since the start of March, including two minors.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Israeli occupation forces arrested Shaimaa Atatrah, 17, from the West Bank city of Jenin at the Israeli military checkpoint of Za’tara, near Nablus.

On Monday, Inas abu-Hilal, 25, and Wafaa abu-Hilal, 30, from Abu-Dis, were arrested at Al-Zaytouna checkpoint.

Israel claims the women were arrested because they were carrying “sharp tools” and “attempting to stab” Israelis.
