Abu Obeida, the military spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian Resistance movement Hamas, made a statement today, Tuesday, October 31.
Abu Obeida updated Palestinians on the latest from the battlefield. He also discussed other issues pertaining to prisoners and captives while sending strong political statements to Israel and the rest of the world.
These are some of the points he made:
The Zionist enemy attempted to enter Gaza from three different areas, concentrated mostly in the northwest of Gaza – the Beit Lahia axis.
Our Resistance fighters have engaged with the enemy in fierce fighting, resulting in the destruction of 22 military vehicles and the killing and wounding of many invading soldiers.
The Resistance has relied on the Yassin 105 anti-artillery shells, among other weapons that have surprised the enemy.
Al-Qassam fighters have engaged with the enemy from point zero and have detonated many of their tanks and armored vehicles by placing explosives directly at their armor.
The Resistance naval force has introduced to the battle the Al-Asif guided torpedo, which has engaged with the Israeli military navy, causing much damage.
Our fighters continue to infiltrate the border areas and surprise the enemy behind its lines.

Our defensive operation continues, in fact, it is in its early stages. We have promised the enemy that Gaza will be its graveyard, for its soldiers, leadership and politicians. And that this defeat will become the end of the political career of (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu.
We call on the fighters of this nation, everywhere, to take the opportunity of this legendary fight and to join the battle, the starting point of the liberation battle.
We have been following the Israeli narrative about the freeing of one of its hostages. We deny that a single hostage with Al-Qassam has been freed.
We will be freeing some of the foreigners held in Gaza in the coming days.
And to the Palestinian people everywhere:
Raise your heads, eyes, as you are defeating one of the most oppressive Nazi regimes in the world today. Be very proud as others will hang their heads in shame for failing to stand with you in this big battle against injustice.
